The Red & Gold Dress // 6

finally got around to doing this:

For all those who’ve been following my latest string of posts, you may wonder where the “gold” was in “The Red & Gold Dress”. Well, voila! A refined and delicate band of gold beads. Little details are what turns the ordinary into the extraordinary.

———-

Last week I had a school styling project, and of course I had to use the new Ellebay dress, even though it wasn’t completely finished. With this particular gown, I imagine a girl who isn’t afraid to get her hair messy, a gal who is able to take something and make it her own, and, of course, someone who loves fashion. So, for my styling concept, I decided to create a beautiful rebel. The gown was accompanied with a big disheveled fishtail braid, bold red lips, statement jewellery, and a tattered denim button up.

Huge thanks to:
Torri Ricks, for always being there when I need a model
Katharina Formanova, for replicating exactly what I had in mind for hair and make-up – and doing it even better
Pooya Nabei, for being so fabulous and professional to work with, despite having to do over 10 student shoots within 4 hours
Tyler and Blanche Macdonald, for being a great instructor, in a great school

Now all that’s needed is a girl to name this after 🙂
